YouTube Content ID Requests for Music Releases — ORB Entertainment

The /youtube-monetization URL is retained for compatibility and now explains ORB's release-level YouTube Content ID request process.

Eligible Artist Plus and Label artists can opt in separately for each release and must confirm that they exclusively control the submitted sound recordings.

ORB processes eligible requests through the Content ID delivery flow.

YouTube ultimately determines eligibility, matches, claims, rights policies, advertising and any resulting revenue.

Content ID does not connect or enroll a YouTube channel, monetize an artist's own uploads, create an artist channel, optimize CPMs or bypass YouTube Partner Program requirements.

YouTube Music distribution remains a separate store-delivery service and does not automatically submit a release to Content ID.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can request YouTube Content ID through ORB?
Eligible Artist Plus and Label artists may opt in separately for each release. The artist must confirm exclusive rights, ORB processes eligible requests, and YouTube makes the final eligibility and claims decisions.
Does ORB connect or enroll my YouTube channel?
No. ORB's Content ID request is attached to an individual music release. It does not connect a channel, monetize an artist's own uploads, create an artist channel, or enroll anyone in the YouTube Partner Program.
Does Content ID guarantee YouTube revenue?
No. A request does not guarantee acceptance, matches, claims, monetization or revenue. YouTube controls eligibility, rights policies, advertising and claim outcomes.
Does Content ID bypass YouTube Partner Program requirements?
No. Content ID is a rights-management system, not a way to bypass channel eligibility rules. A Content ID request does not enroll or monetize your channel.
Does ORB optimize YouTube CPMs?
No. Channel advertising and a specific CPM are not included. YouTube controls advertising availability, rates and monetization.
How does ORB process a Content ID request?
ORB processes each eligible release-level request. YouTube then determines eligibility, matching and claims.
What rights do I need?
You must exclusively control the submitted sound recording. Non-exclusive beats, uncleared samples, covers, public-domain recordings and other reused or conflicting material may be ineligible.
Is YouTube Music distribution the same as Content ID?
No. YouTube Music is a store destination for a release. Content ID is an optional, separate rights request available per release to eligible Artist Plus and Label artists.
What is Content ID?
Content ID is YouTube's system for identifying and managing eligible copyrighted material. YouTube may match a submitted recording and apply a rights policy, but not every use produces a match, claim or revenue.
Is Content ID automatic when I distribute a release?
No. An eligible artist must explicitly opt in for each release and confirm exclusive rights. ORB processes eligible requests through the Content ID delivery flow.
