Frequently Asked Questions
- How much does music distribution cost?
- ORB Entertainment offers a free plan with 1 release distributed to 150+ platforms. Paid plans start from just ₦5,000/month (~$3 USD) with unlimited releases and 100% royalty retention. Annual billing saves 20%. Compared to DistroKid (~$22.99/year), TuneCore (~$9.99/single), and CD Baby (~$9.95/single + 9% commission), ORB Entertainment is the most affordable option.
- How do I get my music on Spotify, Apple Music, and other platforms?
- Sign up at ORB Entertainment, upload your tracks with artwork and metadata, and submit your release. We distribute to over 150 streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Audiomack, Boomplay, YouTube Music, Tidal, Deezer, and Amazon Music. Your music typically goes live within 7–15 days.
- How much do streaming services pay per stream?
- Streaming payouts vary by platform: Spotify pays $0.003–$0.005/stream, Apple Music pays $0.007–$0.01/stream, Tidal pays $0.008–$0.012/stream, YouTube Music pays $0.002–$0.005/stream, Audiomack pays $0.001–$0.004/stream, and Boomplay pays $0.001–$0.003/stream. 100,000 streams across all platforms averages ~$3,850 in total earnings.
- What are track credits and how do they work?
- Track credits control how many tracks you can distribute. Free plan includes 1 credit (one-time). Artist plan includes 5 credits per billing cycle. Label & Team plan includes 15 credits per billing cycle. Each track in a release costs 1 credit. Paid plan artists can submit even with 0 credits — extra tracks are charged at ₦1,000/year prorated and settled at your next renewal.
- What happens to my music if I cancel my subscription?
- If you cancel, your music stays live until the end of your current billing period. After that, releases are taken down from streaming platforms — similar to how a website goes offline when a domain expires. Your account, analytics, and earnings are preserved. You can resubscribe anytime and your music goes back up.
- How do I withdraw my streaming earnings?
- Your streaming royalties are collected in your ORB Wallet. You can withdraw anytime to your local bank account. We support withdrawals via Paystack (Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya) and Flutterwave (all other countries). Minimum withdrawal applies.
